I have been photographing a variety of subjects in my personal and professional life for nearly 40 years, but have never been comfortable taking formal portraits of people. The “Winona Characters: Portrait Photography Project” challenges me to ask and shoot people in a studio setting, where I hope to capture a portrait we both like.
